Privacy Policy
Scope of This Policy
Last updated: October 2026
This policy explains how San Jose Custom Railing (we, us, our) collects and uses information through sanjosecustomrailing.com and our phone number, (408) 409-8723. We collect only what we need to answer your request and keep the site running. We do not sell personal information. By using the site or calling us, you agree to the practices described here.
What We Collect
When you use the estimate form, the price estimator or our phone line, you may give us:
- Your name and phone number, and an email address if you choose to include one
- The property address or general location
- Project details such as measurements, photos, materials, HOA requirements and timing
- The price range and options you selected in the estimator, along with the name of the page you sent it from
Please do not send payment card numbers, bank details, passwords or government ID numbers through the site.
Form Submissions and Spam Protection
This is a static website with no database of its own. Our forms are processed by a third-party form service (un-static), which receives what you submit and passes it along to us. That service stores and transmits submissions under its own terms and security practices.
To keep bots out, our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile, which may check technical signals from your browser and device to confirm a real person is submitting. Cloudflare handles that data under its own privacy policy.
Phone Calls and Call Tracking
The number on this site, (408) 409-8723, is a call-tracking number. When you call it, our phone provider may log your phone number, the time and length of the call, and the page or source that led you to call. Calls may be routed to the railing professional who will handle your project, and calls may be recorded for quality, training and accurate note-taking about your project.
If you would rather not be recorded, say so at the start of the call, or send your details through the online form instead.
Cookies, Analytics and Hosting
We do not currently run analytics or advertising trackers on this site. The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, and like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
If we add analytics in the future, we will update this policy to describe what is collected and how to opt out.
How We Use and Share Information
We use what you provide to call you back, schedule an on-site measure, prepare an estimate and follow up on your project. To do that, we may share your details with:
- The independent, licensed railing professional who performs your work, if that is not us
- Service providers that run the site, forms and phone line for us, only as needed to provide those services
- Authorities, when the law requires it or to protect our legal rights
We do not sell your personal information or hand it to unrelated companies for their own marketing.
How Long We Keep It and How We Protect It
We keep request and call information only as long as it serves your project, our business records and any legal obligation, and then delete it. We use reasonable safeguards, but no website, phone system or form transmission can be made perfectly secure.
Your California Privacy Rights
California residents may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, including the right to:
- Know what personal information we have collected and how it is used and shared
- Ask us to delete it, subject to legal exceptions
- Ask us to correct information that is wrong
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell it)
- Use these rights without being treated differently
Whether those laws apply depends on the size and type of a business, but we will honor reasonable requests from anyone.
Making a Privacy Request
To find out what we have on file about you, or to have it corrected or deleted, call (408) 409-8723 any day from 7am to 6pm. We may ask a few questions to confirm the request comes from you before we act on it.
Children and Updates
This site is meant for adults planning work on property they own or manage. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16. We may update this policy as the site, our providers or the law change, and the date at the top always shows the current version.
